Bell Micro Signs Distribution Deal with Spectra Logic

Bell Microproducts Inc., distributor of highly advanced computing products, solutions, and services has signed a distribution agreement with Spectra Logic Corporation, manufacturer of archive and backup products. Under the terms of the agreement, both the parties will distribute their suite of products to an elaborate customer base spread across the United States and Canada.

Spectra Logic's products complement Bell Micro’ current storage offerings, and add a key enterprise-class library, the Spectra T950, which can be expanded to more than 16 PB (petabytes), and be configured with tape, disk, encryption and/or as a VTL, Bell Micro of San Jose, California said. Bell Micro has entered into this partnership with Spectra Logic to further establish itself as an enterprise-class storage distributor, the company said.

BOULDER, Colo. - Spectra Logic, the data storage innovator, and Bell Microproducts Inc., one of the world's largest value-added distributors of storage and computing technology, have entered into a distribution agreement. Bell Micro now distributes Spectra Logic’s entire line of tape libraries and disk archive solutions to thousands of US and Canada-based value-added resellers (VARs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system builders.

Bell Micro has signed a distribution agreement with Fabrik, which provides storage, memory, and content management services. The new agreement will enable Bell Micro to distribute Fabrik’s line of SimpleTech-branded memory and storage solutions to the North American channel.
